Tasting Notes

Named for John's Mom (Louise) who was always his biggest fan, this wine truly honors her memory.  John's parents lived upstairs at the winery and John often recounts how he had to have been the onlu winemaker in Woodinville whose "Mommy still made him lunch every day".  

Louise's nickname was "Louisa" and that has been the name of our "right-bank" Bordeaux blend sourced from Margaret's Vineyard for the past four vintages.  Soft and juicy with core aromas and flavors of Bing cherries, this wine drinks beautifully now and can age for ten plus years.  Aged 22 months in 50% new French and 50% once used French oak, Louisa is silky and rich in texture.
