Tasting Notes

Dark fruit character and a softness on the palate highlights this vintage of Tre Fanciulli. This is always one of our favorite wines to produce, and it always features Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah. The 2017 vintage is 52% Cab, 33% Merlot and 15% Syrah adding a spicy finish to the wine. Aged in 80% new French oak from three different artisan barrel makers, this Tre is very drinkable now, but can easily age for five to seven years or more. Featured vineyards in this wine are Quintessence Vineyard (Red Mountain), Klipsun Vineyard (Red Mountain), Shaw Vineyard (Red Mountain) and Stillwater Creek Vineyard (The Royal Slope). These are all award-winning vineyards and the fruit is some of the best in the state. We decided it was time to bring back the original Tre Fanciulli label from our first vintage in 1999; it is one of our all-time favorite labels. Cin Cin!
