2018 Syrah (Boushey Vineyard)
Tasting Notes
Few wines are as exciting to taste through their evolution from fermentation to finish as JM’s Boushey Vineyard Syrah. From vine to glass, it has the savory character found in wine from Hermitage. Aged in barrel for 18 months, the 2018 vintage is deep, dark, rich, and delicious. Though ready to drink now, its beautiful savory notes will develop with aging. Made from Syrah clone 174, this wine was fermented for sixteen months in a French oak tank and aged in 1/2 new and 1/2 once-used barrels (50% Russian oak and 50% French oak). Yum! Only 56 cases left of this wine after release.
