2019 Carménère
Tasting Notes
Year after year, JM’s Carménère has a consistent fan base who appreciate this wine for its smooth texture and distinctive flavor profile of chocolate, espresso, and black pepper. JM’s 2019 vintage of Carménère was made with fruit from two sources: next door neighbors, Margaret’s and Seven Hills’ Vineyards. Aged in 60% new French oak and 40% once used for 18 months, has created an especially silky mouthfeel. Carménère has been called, “The Lost Grape”, and has a rich history that John will share at the drop of a hat! Don’t forget to ask him about it. To honor the roots of this special varietal, the perfect pairing is with a Chilean Asado (BBQ) of your choice. Salud!
