2020 Syrah (Boushey Vineyard)
Tasting Notes
We have sourced clone 174 Syrah from Dick and Luanne since 2008. This clone of Syrah originated in the Rhone Valley in France and was planted in Boushey Vineyard back in the early 2000s. Dick manages the vineyard in a way that allows the vine to grow the way it wants to grow, yielding fabulous flavors and aromas in the final wine. This may be the most drinkable young wine you will ever taste. But as many of you have shared, Boushey Syrah ages well in the cellar. Get ready for the traditional savory flavors of Boushey vineyard with a core of dark blackberry. Aged for twenty months in 50% new French oak and 50% once used French oak. Yummy!
