Meaning “grandchildren'' in Spanish, we produce Nietos each year to honor our former winery partners, Mike and Jackie Bezos. We will always value the friendship, partnership, mentorship and generosity they showed us over the past 15 years.
The 2020 Nietos is arguably John’s favorite vintage of this wine. 53% Syrah and 47% Mourvedre from one of the top vineyards in Washington State, Stillwater Creek Vineyard, this wine has depth, richness and reminds us of traditional Chateauneuf-du-Pape from the southern Rhone region of France. Aged in 50% new French oak for 18 months, the wine drinks smoothly now but can age for 10+ years. Cin Cin!
