2020 Longevity
Tasting Notes
The name Longevity connotes many qualities that are true for this wine: it is age worthy, it exhibits a long finish, it has a history (this is our twenty-first vintage of Longevity), and we have often shared Longevity to honor a life, a marriage and/or treasured friendship.
The grapes for this wine were sourced from two incredible vineyards. The Cabernet Sauvignon was from Wallula Gap Vineyards (also called, The Benches) grown in a special block planted for JM Cellars called the Stilleto block. The Merlot and Petit Verdot are both from Stillwater Creek Vineyard, Royal Slope AVA. This blend is always a classic “left bank” Bordeaux-style wine, meaning it is Cabernet Sauvignon dominant. It drinks beautifully now, and will continue to improve. If cellared for three to five years, it will reveal more complex and richer flavors and aromas. It can easily age for 10+years. Here’s to your Longevity!
