2022 Syrah (Boushey Vineyard)
NEW - AVAILABLE FEBRUARY 7, 2025
Tasting Notes
Dick and Luanne Boushey grow some of the best fruit in Washington State and the 2022 vintage was no exception. Clone 174 Syrah, with origins in Hermitage in the Rhône Valley of France, was hand harvested and sorted, foot stomped, and fermented in large French oak tanks. In the Rhone tradition, we co-fermented the Syrah with 3% Viognier from Stillwater Creek Vineyard. The process of co-fermentation maximizes the dazzling fruit aromas and the dark purple hue of Syrah. The 2022 Boushey Syrah possesses luscious raspberry and blackberry notes from glass to finish. The earthy characteristics we admire in Boushey fruit are present throughout this well-structured wine that can be savored alongside dishes like herbed flatbreads, slow-roasted meats, and homemade pasta. Also to be enjoyed during fireside chats.
