The dramatic 36 Degree slope of Shaw Ridge Vineyard produces Rhône favorites, Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre, full of dark fruit expression and minerality. Skillfully farmed by the Shaw team, each vintage continues to awe us by the site’s high quality and abundance. John often describes the natural challenges encountered while bringing this Red Mountain Vineyard to life- wind, heat, steep, rocky terrain, poor water retention just to name a few! These vines adapt, sending their roots snaking through fractured basalt in search of water and nutrients. The result is wines of complexity and sense of place. We think you’ll agree this vintage of 36 Degree is incredibly layered and special, begging to be shared as friends and family gather. Pair with barbecued meats, wood fired pizza, and flavorful stirfrys..
