Tasting Notes

The 2023 Bramble Bump GSM is an extremely versatile Rhône style blend reflecting the rich and geologically diverse terroir of Washington State vineyards. Mourvèdre from the Walla Walla Valley lends dazzling aromatics and raspberry fruit characteristics. Syrah from Boushey Vineyards in the Yakima Valley contributes distinct richness with savory notes of bacon and black pepper. Rounding out the blend is Grenache grown on a dramatic rocky slope at the top of Red Mountain where an extended growing season allows fruit to ripen to its fullest potential while retaining a mineral driven complexity. A mix of wine-making styles, utilizing clay amphora and barrel aging, produced a GSM blend with structure and balanced fruit expression.
