Tasting Notes

Summer Friends' second collaboration is a stainless steel fermented and barrel-aged Sémillon sourced from Artz Vineyard on Red Mountain. From the onset, this project among friends sparked creativity and enthusiasm with the ultimate goal of crafting a delicious white wine with style and complexity that is fun to drink. Premium Red Mountain fruit was fermented in stainless steel and aged in neutral French oak with weekly batonnage, producing a wine with balanced vibrancy and body. Subtle floral aromas of orange blossom and jasmine mingle with lemon zest and melon, balanced by a hint of wet stone promising fresh minerality on the palate. Flavors of citrus, stone fruit and a touch of honey evolve into a silky finish. Pair our Semillon with flavorful meals shared among friends and family. We dedicated this wine to our dear friend, Gio, who joins us annually from South Africa for harvest season. Cheers!
