Tasting Notes
John began sourcing Syrah from Dick and Luanne Boushey in 2008, and every year this Yakima Valley fruit makes some of our favorite wine- rich in character, exceptional fruit flavor, and uncompromising quality. Clone 174 Syrah, with origins in Hermitage in the Rhône Valley of France, was co-fermented with 3% Viognier, a Rhône tradition that maximizes aromatics and locks in the deep purple hue of Syrah. Boushey Syrah is driven by a dark fruit and berry palate with a unique savory (or “Boushey-ness” as we call it!) quality that we adore at JM. Enjoy the 2023 Boushey Syrah with prime rib roast, grilled portobello mushrooms, and wood-fired pizza. We love pouring and enjoying each vintage of Boushey Syrah with our beloved JM Wine Club Members!
