Tasting Notes

Our Estate Red from Margaret’s Vineyard has always been one of John’s favorite wines to blend, each vintage as unique and special as the fruit grown on our Walla Walla Valley vineyard. The warmer than average temperatures of the 2023 growing season translated into mature crops with good sugars and balanced acidity. Cabernet Sauvignon with big tannins, juicy bramble fruit and cinnamon spice were elevated by aromatic merlot and the delicate, and just a touch of the violet floral profile of Petit Verdot. As we spend the next few years rejuvenating the soils of Margaret’s Vineyard and planning for the future, we hope you enjoy this classic Maragaret’s Vineyard Estate Red. Pairs well with braised short-ribs, homemade macaroni and cheese, and lentil soup.
