Tasting Notes

The Founder’s Reserve began as a special and exclusive wine blended for the first official “Wine Club” members.  This small group of JM Cellars supporters, with a passion for wine and winemaking helped to bring the JM Cellars wine club, now commonly known as Enoteca.  We appreciate the Founders and their continued loyalty and enjoyed creating this special blend in their honor.  The JM Cellars Founder's Reserve is crafted with what we consider to be our best grapes of the 2010 vintage.  The 2010 Founder's Reserve is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (92%) and Merlot (8%) sourced exclusively from our estate vineyard, Margaret's Vineyard.

Barrel Aging

Barrel aged in French oak for a total 30 months total.  (24 months in used oak and then put into French oak for 6 month.  80% used and 20% new French oak.)

Cabernet Sauvignon (92%) and Merlot (8%)
