2022 Rosé
Tasting Notes
Each year John makes a “Provence” style Rosé. This wine serves as our annual reminder that Spring and Summer are just around the corner! In 2022, we blended our Cinsault from Wallula Gap Vineyard with Mourvèdre from Shaw Ridge Vineyard to create an incredible, bright and tasty rosé perfect for the upcoming warmer seasons. As an especially fun nod, our production crew - John, Tommy & Amy Garofano all lended a hand toward writing the tasting notes for this beautiful wine.
Once again JM Cellars' rosé is made in a Provencial-style, meaning no sugar, crisp acidity and a "beautiful copper salmon color" according to John - while Amy calls it a "perfectly peachy-pink". With a long lasting finish and flavors and aromas of watermelon, pears and citrus fruits - our team especially noticed a lovely stony freshness that dances on your tongue and a hint of mandarin orange on the nose. Sweet florals, delicate acidity and mild spicy herbal notes round out this wine which all three of our production team agree will have you eager for more sunshine and the arrival of patio season!
Pair this wine with classic rosé dishes like copper river salmon, pesto pasta, grilled spring vegetables, a hummus plate or Peggy's favorite, a bowl of popcorn with a dash of salt and some EVOO (the good kind!). Cin Cin!
