Tasting Notes

This is another special project inspired by Tommy Bigelow. When Tommy was working in Napa Valley, the Assistant Winemaker at the Napa Valley Reserve was Andrew Wright. Andrew left the Napa Valley Reserve in 2020 to become the Head Winemaker at Merryvale Winery in St. Helena. Tommy and Andrew became good friends, and when we go to check on our Pinot project we always stop by and taste with Andrew. In 2021, Andrew pulled a sample of Chardonnay he was making in a concrete egg, and it was so good we bought an egg the next day. This is our second Concrete Chardonnay, and you will taste a creamy, but bright Chardonnay made from Clone 95 Chardonnay grapes (originating from Montrachet, France) sourced out of Stillwater Creek Vineyard. Less than 32 cases will remain after allocation. Enjoy!
