Bramble Bump Red is our red table wine made to enjoy now. A blend of 43% Merlot, 26% Petit Verdot, 22% Carmenere, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Syrah, this is a great addition to everyone's wine collection. A wine to be shared with both the connoisseur and those new to wine appreciation.
This is the first Cabernet Sauvignon designated wine we have produced since 2009. 100% Red Mountain fruit from three of the top vineyards in the AVA, this wine has a core of dark cherry with a touch of vanilla. The wine is rich with soft tannins and a long finish and drinks well young.
Each year I choose my favorite four to five barrels of wine of the vintage to create a special wine in honor of JM’s original wine club established fifteen years ago. The 2015 vintage is a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc and acknowledges those who have been loyal friends to all of us at JM Cellars over the years.
Always a Bordeaux-style blend featuring grapes from Stillwater Creek Vineyard, the 2014 vintage is a blend of 39% Merlot, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Cabernet Franc, 11% Malbec and 7% Petit Verdot. Aged 22 months on 70% new French oak and 30% once used, this wine has flavors and aromas of pumpkin spice, blackberry jam, and Crème Brûlée. It's easy to drink now but can easily age for ten-plus years. Enjoy!
The 2014 Louisa is made with 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc sourced from Margaret’s Vineyard. Barrel aging in 60% new French oak for 18 months contributes to Louisa's rich and silky mouthfeel. With fruit picked at the peak of ripeness, this wine reveals dark cherry core aromas and flavors reminiscent of our favorite vintages of Merlot we've produced at JM. Enjoy!
Rich, smooth and delicious, this Bordeaux-style red blend is made with fruit sourced exclusively from Margaret's Vineyard, our estate vineyard in Walla Walla. The 2014 vintage is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, 7% Petit Verdot, 7% Malbec and 7% Cabernet Franc.
The 2014 Nietos is a unique blend of 50% Mourvèdre and 50% Syrah, all sourced from the spectacular Stillwater Creek Vineyard. Many of you may have tasted JM's Mourvèdre out of barrel which shows distinct savory notes in combination with dark, rich flavors of blueberry, blackberry and a touch of honey.
JM's 2014 Boushey Syrah is 100% clone 174 Syrah. Barrel aged in 50% new oak for 16 months (half Russian and half French).
JM’s 2014 Columbia Valley Syrah was made with fruit sourced from three of my favorite vineyards growing Syrah in Washington State: Ciel du Cheval, Klipsun and Stillwater Creek. Dark fruit driven with savory and smoky notes, this wine offers a lingering, velvety finish. We love this Syrah — Cheers!
